QUOTING COACH CARTER:
"This scrimmage is a new thing for the Hawkeyes and I'm really looking forward to it. These fall scrimmages among collegiate teams are growing in popularity because coaches work with one another to create an event that best meets the needs of the programs. They really do a great service in the overall yearly development plan. Adding this to a bit of head racing is terrific and having a Big Ten program come to town couldn't be better."
