THE STAFF

With just its third head coach at the helm and a multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art facility, the University of Iowa rowing program is ready to make its climb in the Big Ten.

Andrew Carter is in his second season as head coach at the University of Iowa. Over his 25 years of coaching experience, Carter has earned more than 50 championship medals. In the last 13 years alone, he has coached eight All-Americans and 29 National Scholar-Athletes. Carter joined the Hawkeyes following a four-year stint as head women's rowing coach at the University of Miami, where he helped the Hurricanes rise from the bottom of the Atlantic Coast Conference into the national polls.

Jeff Garbutt enters his second season at Iowa as the assistant coach after spending time at the University of Miami as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Julie Quoss will be the second assistant and work with the novice group in her third season with the Hawkeyes.

Offices for the staff of the women's rowing program at the University of Iowa are located on the third level of Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the University of Iowa's award-winning basketball facility. Metered public parking is located in University Lot 46, located immediately west of the facility. Upon arrival, visitors should enter Carver-Hawkeye Arena at the North Entrance and take either the elevator or the stairs to the third level.
