Eileen Narcotta

Eileen Narcotta is in her fourth season as an assistant coach for the Hawkeyes. Narcotta joined the Iowa program from Ball State, where she was an assistant coach with Ron Rainey for four seasons. While at Ball State, Narcotta was in charge of coaching goalkeepers and defenders, while assisting in practice planning and recruiting. In 2005, Narcotta helped the Cardinals to a 15-3-2 record and advanced to the Mid-American Conference Tournament for the fifth-consecutive year. She has coached two goalkeepers to all-MAC honors, including Ali Becker, who transfered to Iowa from Ball State and finished he playing career last season. Narcotta also coached Becker to NSCAA All-Great Lakes region honors. Narcotta received her masters in sports administration from Ball State in 2006. She graduated from Vermont in 2000 with a degree in nutritional and food sciences and was a member of the Vermont soccer team for five seasons. She was an assistant at Vermont for one season before accepting an assistant coaching at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME, in August of 2000. Narcotta currently serves as a Regional Staff Coach for the Region II Girls' Olympic Development Program and for the Iowa Olympic Development Program. She holds both a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "B" License and an Advanced National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). |
