IOWA CITY - Head women's soccer coach Ron Rainey has announced that Stephanie Swanson will join the Hawkeyes this fall. Swanson is the final recruit for the 2007 season.

Swanson, a native of Downers Grove, IL, was a two-time all-conference goalkeeper and led Dowers Grove North to its first conference championship in school history. She was also an honorable mention all-sectional selection as a junior after recording 10 shutouts during the season. Swanson served as team captain of her high school team and was also a member of the Hawks S.C. club team for six years.

"We are glad to have Stephanie on board," Rainey said. "She is the final recruit in what we believe is a solid freshman class for 2007."
