IOWA CITY, IA - The University of Iowa men and women's swimming and diving teams have recently earned national academic awards. The Hawkeye men's and women's teams were named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Academic All-America team for spring 2010.

Grace Borchers, Sophia Borchers, Daniela Cubelic, Sean Hagan Christine Kuczek, and Matt Ryan were recognized as Individual Honorable Mention Academic All-Americans.

"We're proud of these individuals for achieving Academic All-American honors," said Head Coach Marc Long. "It's also rewarding to see the team's commitment to academics recognized by being awarded men's and women's Team Academic All-American. This reflects our program's goal of achieving the highest levels in academics and athletics. "
