The Iowa women's tennis team fell to No. 13 Clemson, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon at Vanderbilt's Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center. This is the Hawkeyes' first dual loss of the season.

Iowa was unable to secure the doubles point, losing all three matches to Clemson. In singles, freshman Hillary Mintz defeated Maria Brito, 7-6 (5), 5-7, 1-0 (10-7). Mintz gave the Hawkeyes their only point of the meet. Anastasia Zhukova forced her opponent, Richele LeSaldo, into a third set, but was unable to win.

The Hawkeyes will compete against Vanderbilt tomorrow beginning at noon.
