The No. 42 Iowa women's tennis team defeated No. 49 Missouri, 4-3, Sunday afternoon. The Hawkeyes lost the doubles point, but were able to clinch the win with four singles victories.

In doubles, Deni Alexandrova and Hilary Tyler defeated Hana Kraftova and Lucie Ruskova, 9-8 (8-6), at the No. 3 spot. Meg Racette and Hillary Mintz were unable to hold on for a win at the No. 1 spot, losing 9-7. At No. 2 doubles, Chelsea Glynn and Anastasia Zhukova were defeated, 8-4.

At the No. 1 singles spot, Racette emerged victorious against Urska Juric, 6-3, 6-2. Mintz won over Katka Savcikova, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2 singles. At the No. 4 position, Glynn defeated Mary Barry, 6-3, 6-3. With the meet coming down to the last singles match, Tyler downed Erika Josbena in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.

The Hawkeyes will compete next against Notre Dame Friday, March 18.
