LONG BEACH, CA - 52nd-ranked Iowa fell to 58th-ranked Long Beach State today, 4-3.  Iowa falls to 5-6 on the season, including 1-0 in Big Ten play.

In doubles play, Iowa's duo of Mili Veselinovic and Jacqueline Lee fell to Williams/Bengson of Long Beach, 8-5 at the first position, while Merel Beelen and Hillary Mintz were defeated by Grady/Weeks, 8-5 at the second doubles spot. Kayla Berry and Kelcie Klockenga were defeated by Rocha/Porsz, 8-5 at the third doubles position.

In singles action, Lee, playing at the first doubles spot, defeated Katy Williams, 6-1, 6-2, while Veselinovic defeated Hannah Grady at the number two position, 6-3, 6-3. Berry was the final Iowa player to win a singles match in the competition, defeating Jessica Weeks, 6-3, 6-4, at the fourth singles spot.

Iowa will return to action at home, March 23rd facing Indiana and then face Ohio State, March 25th.
