THIS WEEK -- The University of Iowa women's tennis team will travel to Penn State, Friday, and Indiana, Sunday.  Friday's competition will take place at the Sarni Tennis Center on the Penn State Campus and will begin at 4 p.m. (CST).  Sunday's competition will take place at the Indiana University Tennis Center and is set to begin at 9 a.m. (CST).

THE HAWKEYES -- The Hawkeyes are currently ranked 33rd, with a 13-4 record, including 5-1 against Big Ten opponents. Individually, Meg Racette is ranked No. 37 in singles. Jacqueline Lee is on a 15-match winning streak and posts a spring record of 16-1. Others expected to compete for the Hawkeyes are, Merel Beelen, Kayla Berry, Krissy Dowlin, Hillary Mintz, and Mili Veselinovic.

THE COMPETITION -- Penn State posts a 7-9 record, including a 1-5 mark against Big Ten opponents. Indiana is currently ranked 30th with a 15-5 record, including 5-1 in Big Ten play.

LAST TIME VS. PENN STATE -- Iowa hosted Penn State in 2005, and defeated the Lions, 6-1. Meg Racette topped Maaria Husain, winning 7-5, 6-2 while Hillary Mintz blanked Sasha Abraham with a score of 6-0, 6-0.

LAST TIME VS. INDIANA -- Iowa defeated Indiana at home, in 2005, 7-0. Meg Racette upset Dora Vastag, 6-4, 6-0. Iowa won all singles matches in the meet and claimed the doubles point with two wins.

LAST MEET -- Iowa hosted Wisconsin and Northwestern last week. Iowa defeated Wisconsin, 6-1, and fell to Northwestern, 5-2. Jacqueline Lee won both singles matches, bringing her winning streak to 15 and improving her spring record to 16-1.

HEAD COACH Daryl Greenan -- Coach Greenan is in his second season as head coach for the Hawkeyes. He led the Hawkeyes to a 14-10 overall record in 2005, going 8-4 in Big Ten competition for a fourth place finish in the conference. Greenan has a 27-14 overall record in two seasons at Iowa. Toni Neykova is the assistant coach and begins her fourth season with the Hawkeyes.
