TUSCALOOSA, AL - The Iowa women's tennis team finished the first day of the Roberta Alison Fall Classic today, winning four singles matches and five doubles matches.
Milica Veselinovic, Merel Beelen, Kayla Berry, and Jacqueline Lee all snagged wins in singles matches. Veselinovic defeated Courtney Vernon of USF 6-2, 7-5 while Beelen defeated Kristin Noble of Memphis 6-3, 1-6, 6-1.
Berry was successful against Kate Lambert of Birmingham Southern, winning 7-6, 6-3 and Lee defeated Aina Rafolomanantsia of AUM 6-1, 6-0.
Kayla Berry teamed up with Alina Mihailescu of Florida State to defeat Stephanie Boucher and Lauren Russell of Birmingham Southern, 8-1, and Kristin Noble and Christina Weiser of Memphis, 8-4.
The Hawkeyes will continue competition at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic tomorrow.
