01/11/2012 Hawkeyes Announce Date for Team BanquetAnnual awards banquet will be held Feb. 11 at 12 p.m. Angie Boldt is in her fourth season as Director of Volleyball Operations at the University of Iowa. Her responsibilities include team travel logistics and managing day-to-day operations within the volleyball program. She also helps coordinate home matches, tournaments, alumni events, team receptions and banquets. Boldt comes to Iowa after serving as a graduate assistant with volleyball operations at the University of Alabama from 2006-08. She helped coordinate team travel, home matches and tournaments, team receptions and banquets and both youth development and coaches clinics. Boldt also helped oversee day-to-day operations for the volleyball office, including scheduling, recruiting and budget issues. Prior to her stint at Alabama, Boldt was a student worker for volleyball operations at the University of Nebraska from 2003-06. During her time, the Cornhuskers were a perennial top-five program and won the 2006 NCAA national championship. Boldt has extensive coaching experience at the club level. She served as both an assistant and co-head coach for the South Central Volleyball Club in St. Paul, NE, from 2003-06. Boldt also taught private lessons at the Nebraska Volleyball Academy in Lincoln, NE, in 2006 and served as both an assistant and co-head coach for the Club Crimson Volleyball Club in Tuscaloosa, AL. She currently serves as a coach for the Iowa Rockets Volleyball Club, based in eastern Iowa. The St. Paul, NE, native graduated from Nebraska in 2006 with a degree in education and human sciences, with endorsements in natural sciences and coaching. She received her masters in general studies in human environmental sciences, with an emphasis in sport management, from Alabama in the spring of 2008. Boldt is married to Iowa volleyball assistant coach Ben Boldt. |
