Katie McGuine is in her second year as Director of Volleyball operations for the Hawkeye volleyball team.
McGuine will work closely with the Hawkeye volleyball staff, helping coordinate and carry out the day-to-day activities of the program. She is responsible for arranging team travel, overseeing the budget, monitoring academics, supervising public service activities and coordinating summer camps and training tables.
McGuine joins the Hawkeyes after serving as the Human Resources Manager at Cardinal of Minnesota, Ltd., in Rochester, MN. She also served as head volleyball coach at Pine Island High School during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. In 2005 and 2006 she was head coach of the 16s Southern Minnesota Volleyball Club in Rochester, MN.
McGuine had previously served as the coach from 2002-03 for NASA Volleyball in Huntsville, AL, where she was the power coach for the 14 year-old team and exposition coach for the 16-18 year-old team. While in Huntsville, she was also the Membership Coordinator for the Huntsville Athletic Club & worked with the Milwaukee Brewers AA Affiliate.
She has also coached ninth grade volleyball in 1999 at Lake Crystal High School and 10th grade volleyball in 2000 at Mankato East High School.
As a student-athlete, McGuine played one season in 1997 at Rochester Community and Technical College, then one year in 1998 at Minnesota State, Mankato.
McGuine graduated from Minnesota State, Mankato in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with Sports Management emphasis and a Minor in Coaching.
