COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Iowa volleyball team lost at Ohio State tonight, 3-0, inside St. John Arena. Ohio State shot lights out in the match opener and was able to sustain their momentum into a straight set victory; 25-10, 25-16, 25-17.

"We struggled in every facet of the match," said Head Coach Sharon Dingman. "We had no kills, we couldn't serve and our backcourt passing wasn't there. We didn't serve aggressively. We were simply outplayed. We have a lot to get better at before tomorrow night. Penn State is a good team, so we have to be prepared to play to win."

Ohio State attacked at a .524 clip to claim the opening set, 25-10. Iowa claimed the set's first point behind a Megan Eskew kill, but Ohio State jumped ahead with a 3-2 advantage and never looked back. Kills from Chante' Thompson, Becky Walters and Mallory Husz kept Iowa within one point, 7-6, but an eight-point run by the Buckeyes eventually extended the OSU lead to 20-8 and Iowa was never able to recover.
