IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa volleyball recruit Alex Lovell has been named a 2010 PrepVolleyball.com High School All-American. The 5-11 outside hitter from Bloomfield Hills, MI, led Marian High School to its second consecutive state championship in 2010. She recorded 593 kills, 362 digs, 46 blocks and 44 services aces while posting a .486 kill percentage.

Lovell had previously been named a finalist for Gatorade National Player of the Year after it was announced in December she had earned Gatorade Michigan Player of the Year honors.
