Recruiting Class Earns National Recognition
June 7, 2010
IOWA CITY, IA - The University of Iowa volleyball program's 2010 recruiting class earned Highest Honorable Mention by PrepVolleyball.com. The honor is bestowed to those schools that just missed being ranked inside the top 30. The national recruiting website ranked the top 30 incoming classes and the Big Ten Conference once again flexed its muscle, landing four schools in the top 10. Iowa's incoming class includes Rachael Bedell, 6-1 OH, Plano West (Plano TX); Nikki Dailey, 5-10 S, Franklin (WI); Chante Thompson, 6-2 MB, L.D. Bell (Hurst TX) and Bethany Yeager, 5-9 Libero, Brenham (TX). The Hawkeyes open the 2010 season by hosting the Hawkeye Challenge Aug. 27-29 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
