IOWA CITY - Head Coach Cindy Fredrick and the University of Iowa volleyball team have announced that its match against Wisconsin October 13 will be "Attacking Breast Cancer" night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Fans of the Hawkeyes will have plenty of ways to participate in this special event.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink. Any fan wearing pink will be automatically entered in a raffle to win an assortment of prizes. The first 500 fans will also receive free pink rally towels.

Iowa will also use four pink volleyballs during warm-ups and junior libero Emily Hiza will wear a pink jersey during the match.

In addition, the University of Iowa Athletic Department will donate $1 to the Holden Cancer Center for every fan over 1,000 in attendance.

"This is such a great event," Fredrick said. "This provides our team a chance to acknowledge the work being done by the Holden Cancer Center. This is a disease that affects so many lives and we are happy to be able to give back to both the University of Iowa and to the community. We hope people will join in supporting not only the Iowa volleyball team in our match against Wisconsin, but the Holden Cancer Center as well."

Fans can make additional donations by sending a check payable to the UI Foundation and on the check reference, write Holden Cancer Center. The checks can be mailed to address below.
