IOWA CITY - This Week • The University of Iowa volleyball team wraps up a four-match roadtrip this weekend when they face Purdue Friday and Indiana Saturday. Both matches are slated for 6 p.m. (CT).

Hawkeyes on the Web • Fans can follow the action on hawkeyesports.com, where live audio and Gametracker will be available.

Live audio with play-by-play from the voice of Iowa volleyball, Brian Wilson, can be found on the volleyball schedule page of hawkeyesports.com. Gametracker can also be found on the volleyball page of hawkeyesports.com. Live video for Friday's match at Purdue will also be available at purduesports.com.

Live audio will be available for all 31 matches this fall while live video will be available for all of Iowa's home matches. All Big Ten matches require fans to pay a $9.95 per month subscription fee.

Scouting Purdue • The Purdue Boilermakers are 14-11 overall and 7-7 in Big Ten play.

Stephanie Lynch ranks sixth in the Big Ten with a .342 hitting percentage and 10th with 3.84 kills per game (349 total).

Jaclyn Hart is averaging 9.5 assists per game (855 total), which is ninth-best in the conference. Anne Mastandrea also ranks ninth in digs with 4.07 per game (370 total).

The Boilermakers are coached by Dave Shondell. Iowa trails in the all-time series, 19-8.

Last Meeting • Purdue swept Iowa (20-30, 24-30, 21-30) Sept. 22 in Iowa City.

Freshman Katie Wessels led the Hawkeyes with 11 kills in her first significant action as a Hawkeye. Junior Emily Hiza tallied 20 digs while junior Kiley Fister added 30 assists.

Scouting Indiana • The Indiana Hoosiers are 14-12 overall and 5-9 in conference action.

Erica Short leads the team with a 4.24 kills per game average (411 total), which ranks eighth in the conference. Mara Hilgenberg ranks seventh in the Big Ten with 12.01 assists per game (1,165 total).

Juli Pierce ranks seventh in service aces (0.36 per game, 35 total) and eighth in the digs (4.11 per game, 399 total) while Ashley Benson is 10th in blocks (1.22 per game, 105 total).

The Hoosiers are coached by Sherry Dunbar. Iowa trails in the all-time series, 30-24.

Last Meeting • Iowa opened Big Ten play with a heartbreaking, five-game loss to Indiana Sept. 21 in Iowa City. Iowa had a 2-0 lead in the match before dropping the final three games.

The Hawkeyes had to play four of the five games without redshirt freshman Becky Walters, who suffered a torn ACL in the first game.

Junior Laura Kremer had 14 kills with a .333 hitting percentage while freshman Megan Eskew also had 14 kills. Junior Emily Hiza added 21 digs while junior Kiley Fister chipped in 32 assists.

Schipper on the Road • Sophomore Megan Schipper doesn't mind being away from Carver-Hawkeye Arena. In eight road matches, Schipper leads the team with 92 kills (3.41 kills per game) along with a .272 hitting percentage.

The Aplington, IA, native also has recorded 23 of her 56 blocks on the road.

Iron Women • Juniors Laura Kremer and Emily Hiza have each started and played in all 25 matches and 90 games this season.

Freshman Aimee Huffman has started 23 matches while playing in 88 of the 90 games. Freshman Megan Eskew has also played in all 25 matches and 89 of the 90 games this season. Junior Kiley Fister and sophomore Christina Meister have also played in all 25 matches.

Hawkeyes on the Block • Iowa has out-blocked 14 of its 25 opponents this season, including five of the last 11 teams. Five of the 14 opponents were also ranked (BYU, LSU, Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin).

Junior Laura Kremer leads the blocking attack with 119 total blocks (23 solo, 96 assists, 1.32 blocks per game). Freshman Aimee Huffman has 80 total blocks while sophomore Megan Schipper has 56.

Hawkeyes In Big Ten Stats • Juniors Emily Hiza, Laura Kremer and Kiley Fister each rank in the top 10 of different Big Ten statistical categories.

Hiza is sixth in the Big Ten in digs with 4.69 per game (422 total). Kremer is averaging 1.32 blocks per game (119 total), which is seventh-best in the conference. Fister ranks 10th in the Big Ten with 7.99 assists per game (719 total).

In Big Ten games only, Hiza ranks fourth in digs with 5.10 per game (245 total). Kremer is eighth in blocks with 1.29 per game (62 total), while Fister is ninth in assists with 9.62 per game (462 total).

Climbing the Records Ladder • Juniors Emily Hiza and Kiley Fister are making their mark on the Iowa volleyball records books.

Fister ranks fourth in career assists (3,205). Fister needs 923 more assists to move past Kathy Griesheim, who is currently third (4,128).

Hiza started the season ranked 12th in career digs, but has tallied 422 so far in 2007 to move her into fourth place (1,439). She needs 97 more digs to pass Pam Kavadas, who is in third place (1,536).

Record Setting Night • Iowa shattered the single-game attendance record with 2,191 fans against Wisconsin Oct 13. The previous record of 1,690 fans was set last season against Iowa State.

Iowa Ranks High in Attendance • Iowa's average home attendance of 1,099 fans is the 35th-highest average attendance in the nation. In addition, Iowa's record crowd of 2,191 fans against Wisconsin is the 116th-largest crowd in the country so far in 2007.

It's Been a While • Iowa's win over No. 11 Michigan was the program's first win over a ranked opponent since 2000. The Hawkeyes defeated No. 20 Michigan State, 3-2 Oct 21, 2000. Iowa came back from a two-game deficit to defeat Michigan State, 3-2 as well.

Walters Undergoes Surgery • Redshirt freshman Becky Walters underwent successful surgery to repair her injured knee, Oct 4.

Walters will miss the rest of the 2007 season after suffering a serious knee injury in Iowa's match against Indiana, Sept. 21.

Walters was leading the team with a .265 hitting percentage and also had 113 kills along with 52 total blocks (10 solo, 42 assists).

Michigan Sweeps Iowa • The Wolverines swept Iowa (19-30, 16-30, 23-30) Monday night in Ann Arbor.

Junior Catherine Smale led the Hawkeyes with 11 kills while sophomore Megan Schipper added eight. Freshman Katie Kennedy chipped in three block assists.
