THE STAFF

The coaching staff remains the same, and as a result, the culture has changed around the Iowa volleyball program.

Sharon Dingman is entering her fourth season as the head coach of the University of Iowa volleyball program.

School records and unparalleled attendance figures are nice, but the changes surrounding the Hawkeye program cannot be qualified by numbers. Instead, head coach Sharon Dingman values the teamwork, commitment and dedication exemplified by her staff.

When Dingman was named Iowa's head coach in 2008, she brought along the talents of recruiting coordinator/assistant coach Jason Allen and director of operations Angie Boldt -- both of whom recently completed their fourth season at Iowa. The fourth member of the staff, assistant coach Ben Boldt, joined the Hawkeyes one season into the Dingman era.

The quartet now has three full seasons as a group under their belt, and their consistent approach in the gym and in the volleyball world has produced nationally- recognized recruiting classes and a volleyball culture that has Iowa's student-athletes believing the next step for the Hawkeyes is the NCAA tournament.
