High School -- three-time team state champion in track and cross-country... four-time track conference champion... four time team cross-country conference champion... four time all-conference and all-district in cross-country... qualified for state cross country meet four times and state track meet eight times... placed fourth at the state cross-country meet as a junior... placed eighth at the state meet in the 1,500 meters as a junior... ran at the Drake relays on the 3,200-meter relay as a senior... best times were 15:15 in the 4,000 meters, 10:57 in the 3,000 meters, 4:58 in the 1,500 meters and 2:27 in the 800 meters... also played basketball... coached by Dave Vogelgesang, Jenny King and Dave Fetterman.
